Goal 1....Lets call it complete

Ok so my first goal of cutting out soda so far is successful. I will just call that one complete. I mean even before I set the goal I wasn't really that huge of a soda drinker. 

Goal Two - Move more.

Since I decided to lose weight I have been bad about getting out and moving. I considered walking the dog to the end of the block enough. So I want to go for a real walk with the dog everyday starting this week. Today after Lexi got on the bus instead of walking back home I just kept going. So this morning I went for a 2.5 mile walk and burned off 350 calories. 

Current weight 288lbs (yes it went up)

Weight Loss Day...uh...screw it

Yes I already lost track of the days. But it's ok because I wont be posting every day anyway.
So I weighed myself today. I started off bad. This weekend was full of junk food, BBQs and Mountain Dew. Oh and someone dropped off a dozen Crispy Creams. And on top of that I haven't been keeping a food diary like I should be doing. So on top of my goal to cut the crap, I also want to be at 80% food logging. I am using MyFitnessPal to do all my logging. If you're on there add me krazykarl4.
Now even with all the crap this weekend and whatnot I still managed to lose 4 lbs. I'm not going to get too excited because I know that my body will flux 5 lbs over the course of a week, but still when I was expecting a larger number it was nice to see it down.

Weight Loss Day 1

Day the first day went ok. Thank you guys for all your feedback and support. I started using MyFintessPal as a food diary you can follow me there my user name is krazykarl4. Nothing really eventful went on. This weekend I have back to back to back BBQs so I dont think I will be folling much of a diet. There is also a 24 pack of dew here...and it has tempted me...twice so far. I think I might set up an update schedule, I know that I wont have the time to do this blog everyday, and I am sure you guys don't want to read this everyday. I'm thinking about Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Let me know what you think in the comments here or on facebook.

Weight Loss Day #0


Ok so here is my starting point. I weight 290 lbs, I don't monitor my food intake, and I in general hate the way I feel and look. The only way that this will work is with baby step goals. I have a target weight in mind, but I know from experience that large goals like lose 50 lbs just doesn't work for me. 

So baby step goal #1 Cut out the crap. I would like to go 30 days soda free. I have done this before and I think that after 30 days, I stop craving it and the idea just goes away.

  
 So here goes nothing, and wish me luck. I hope you guys follow me along on this journey. I know that I will need the support of my friends and family on this one.

Weight Loss

So I have decided to try and loose some weight. Right now I am at 289 lbs. I can't chase after my kids and in general feel like crap. I will blog and record my progress here and on facebook. So here it goes.
